I am an amateur Photographer offering professional, family portrait photo shoots for a small donation to charity.
100% of the money donated is given directly to The Kids’ Cancer Project, an Australian charity dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancer.
Although I am not a professional Photographer my aim is to make every family happy with the photo shoot as much as I possibly can.
Why am I donating to a kids’ cancer research?
A few months ago I met an amazing mother and her seven year old daughter Kairi through Facebook. This family faces the harsh daily reality of a child with cancer…a disease that no child should ever suffer. Unfortunately, cancer is the largest killer of Australian children from disease.
If you spoke with Kairi, you wouldn't believe she has suffered from such a life changing illness. She goes through her life like any normal seven year old girl would, she play's with dolls, plays in the bath, sings and acts silly. Although for Kairi, this is restricted to a hospital.
Kairi and her mother are truly an inspiration. They have both shown me that no matter what life throws in your direction, there is never a need to feel sorry for yourself, or wish your life away. They are both so strong and my heart goes out to them.
I know that more than anything this brave little girl and her mother want a cure for childhood cancer. Hope for a time when no parent has to face the terrifying thought of losing their child to this insidious disease.
I hope that one day we will find a cure, and this little girl and her mum will not have to fight so badly with every breath they have, living in constant fear of what tomorrow may bring.
The only way to get to this day is through research. Research funded by The Kids’ Cancer Project is making real progress toward a cure, bring hope to and ending the suffering of so many Australian families.
Life is precious, especially that of a child and I want to help preserve that…I hope you do too.
